Produced by the Blizzard Entertainment, World of Warcraft is one of the most popular MMORPG games around the globe. Having said that, the interested gamer should understand that this is not just a game that you can temporarily play and expect to be the best at it. This is a very fun game, but only those who have zeal and strength to endure it can fully handle the exciting enjoyment of it.

There are a total of ten characters available for you to choose, and you do not have to feel pressured to make the right choice the first time. If you end up not liking the character you chose, pick different ones and work on leveling them up instead. The ten options are Warrior, Paladin, Mage, Warlocks, Hunter, Rogue, Shaman, Druid, Priest, and Death Knight. Each has pros and cons, and I personally liked Paladin because it seems to be versatile. Also, there are "good" and "bad" side to the characters you will meet on the World of Warcraft. The "good" side is known as Alliance, and consists of Humans, Night Elves, Dwarves, Gnomes, and Draenei. In contrast, the "bad" side is known as Horde and includes Orcs, Forsaken, Tauren, Trolls, and Blood Elves. Despite what you may think, two sides do not have much differences in terms of gameplay, especially when you reach higher levels (about 30) and are able to travel to both continents.

First, let me begin by covering the basics of controlling the game. Right-clicking the items in the World of Warcraft allow your avatar, or the character that you are seeing on the screen, to eat food, equip armors, and use other key items. Holding Shift button over a period of time permits you to compare the item with the current attire you are wearing, and several other tasks can be accomplished by clicking the Ctrl button. You may need to experiment for a while to grasp all the functions, but this will be soon accustomed over the time of playing World of Warcraft.

Secondly, be careful with the items you currently have. The easiest mistake that the beginners to the World of Warcraft make is to toss or sell the items that they do not immediately need. For one thing, certain items will not be handy until the later part of the game when you have gained certain levels or equipments. Items with white names are generally useful whereas those with gray names are not. But, even with these items with gray names, they may be rewarded with high values, so do not just toss them because they seem useless at that part of the game.

As in many other computer games, you can modify settings like audio, display, video, and so on under the Options. But, more importantly, the Options is the place where you may modify the action bars to determine your abilities, which can be used by either clicking them on the action bars or via key bindings. Try to experiment between two methods to see which one fits best with your character and realm in the World of Warcraft.

Now, let's talk about the strategies. At the daily basis, you want to be cautious on the quests throughout the World of Warcraft. Because they appear easy and are very tempting, you may be inclined to attempt all of them. But, my best recommendation is to just do the Tuskarr dailies in Northrend, which are in following three zones: Howling Fjord, Borean Tundra, and Dragonblight. Another important thing I want to stress is the cooldowns. Cooldowns are particularly useful for beating the bosses, so while you are traveling and meeting the enemies, be careful on how you defeat them and save cooldowns.

As you progress through the levels, you need to repair your characters. Repairing becomes costly task as your level increases more and more, but always keep in mind that it will likely to cost more gold to repair yourself once you die. Moreover, you should be vigilant in the World of Warcraft with the latest items and equipments and managing your stats properly. In the lower levels, you may not be able to grasp the importance of your stats, but as you reach higher levels in the game, proper management of stats will become pivotal. In the World of Warcrafts, your stats consist of Strength, Agility, Stamina, Intellect, and Spirit.

In terms of saving your home point, I highly recommend you to buy a portal to Dalaran because this will let you to travel to Tanaris and all the home cities in the game. As I said earlier, World of Warcraft is not just about beating the strongest bosses or gaining the best items; instead, it requires endurance, and saving time by using such a portal is a necessity for any smart gamer.
